Ready to decorate the cake or cupcakes? Follow the step-by-step below and you will be making these before you know it. If you’re following along today, these mini 3d paper star cake toppers are just one of five fun diys + hacks to throw an all-star themed party presto with our pals at Fiskars.
We love do-it-yourself projects that can be made for different occasions, and this one is one of them. We will be using these mini 3d stars in our gift packaging this year. And these little star toppers aren’t just for cake, if you’re throwing a kids party, these are also magic wands 🙂

With your gold paper in hand (we spray painted ours on plain white cardstock as mentioned in our previous garland DIY), punch away your star shapes with this star punch. You want this specific star paper punch shape for this. Its lever punch also makes it easy to use, and it’s 2″ size is great for a variety of projects as mentioned above.
Fold each end of the star, matching end to end. A bone folder will come in handy if you’re making several of these. Dab a bit of hot glue on the back of your stars to secure the skewers in place. Netflix and wine type DIY.
We will be sharing the rest in a bit!
