Festive Winter Wedding in an Italian Castle

From the photographer, L&V Photography: This is the story of Francesca and Alessandro, a couple living in Milan, who chose to get married on Lake Como, the bride’s birthplace. Francesca’s dress was a unique creation, special design of Atelier Emé, with feather detailing and a train of chiffon silk. When she arrived to the church of her childhood, all friends and family along with her future husband were there eagerly awaiting.
Exactly halfway between Lake Como and Milan, you can find the Castello di Pomerio, ancient and amazing stronghold, where the nobility of the place took refuge during the cold winters. At the entrance was a huge fireplace, and a Christmas corner for the Photo Booth was waiting for them.
The stones on the walls were softened by a variety of different feathers (pampas grass, peacock tail, phalaris) mixed with winter greenery and burgundy flowers to give that Christmas touch. They choose burgundy as a binder color that matched perfectly with the table set up, stationery and the wedding favor box to which the place card in engraved steel was linked.
Snow and trees everywhere, and a fairy lights box with all the set-ups of the Santa Claus office as table plan, brought guests back to the winter and Christmas mood. The court of the castle surrounded by all red leaves, was the perfect place for their intimate moments and for the cutting cake which was the right combination of all the elements that contributed to obtaining the desired atmosphere.
