Portland Wedding with Music Inspired Details
When a couple loves music almost as much as they love each other, it seems natural that it would play a big part in their wedding day. So it went for Natalie and Eric, who made sure their wedding day was relaxed, fun, and – you guessed it – full of good music. Thank you to their amazing team, including Hazelwood Photo, Gather Event Planning and Consultation, and Solabee!
From the bride, Natalie: Personable and fun! All about relationships–ours and the people we wanted to celebrate with. Relaxed and energetic at the same time. Dancing! We wanted to dance and be in a space we loved and have shared many amazing memories–The Holocene. Music was and is important to us and was the centerpiece for much of what we did.
Our wedding was almost all DIY. 🙂 Eric, the groom, designed everything from Save the Dates and Invitations, to table names, guest card Wedding Libs and the containers they are rested in. Colors were earthy and energetic–greens and yellows, with pops of white and brown.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Be true to yourself. Do what you want to do, not what you think other people want you to do or what the world and wedding industry says. We were clear on this from the beginning and had the best time planning it all. Enjoy everything! The nature of planning any event will bring moments of stress–aim to enjoy the chaos, details and whatever comes your way, because in the end it will always work out.
