Perth Vineyard Wedding
This Aussie wedding from Jen Regan of Anna Rose Photography features a color palette we’re currently crushing on: red and purple. Newlyweds Natalia and Flynn decided on a day that was relaxed and personal, with a touch of handmade charm and vintage whimsy. Personally, I’m a tad bit obsessed with Natalia’s vintage-inspired gown by Anaessia…
From the bride, Natalia: We envisioned something that said us. Red and purple, a dash of black, a sprinkle of buttons, a little bit of vintage and handmade made with feeling. Simple and unique, all in a big pot together. We wanted it to be a relaxed, open and inclusive day where everyone could mingle, feel involved and loved.
Our friend Anne Farrell arranged the decorations for us, she collected white vases, jugs and teapots from op-shops for the flowers and painted a few interesting glass jars white with the flowers pre-arranged by Kate Faulds. Anne also made the seating chart and place cards, small chalk boards for the place cards and a large chalkboard for the seating plan. She borrowed hand dyed, red doilies from a friend as well as collecting a few from op-shops.
Our rings were made by Will Francis who also did Natalia’s engagement ring. Flynn’s best man was a jeweller in Perth who suggested Will as he liked his style. On the sly over a series of phone calls, emails and horrible sketches by Flynn and some much more intelligent ideas from Will, the engagement ring was created. A ruby carved into the shape of a button on a band of white gold in the shape of a needle, held together with rose gold thread. Going above and beyond and working under time constraints, Will made out of silver and an actual button (purple) from a friend’s collection a wonderful and quirky temporary engagement ring for Flynn to propose with while in the snow in Boston. For the wedding rings Will created a large needle made of Damascus steal with gold thread for Flynn and a plain white gold band in the shape of a needle for Natalia.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Take a deep breath, accept ALL help when it’s offered and in the end, the day really is all about you, so do what you want.

so in love with her gown!
These images are just perfect. Loving those reds and purples too!
The shot of the flower girls walking up the aisle is adorable! The flower girl at our last wedding forgot to drop petals as she walked up the aisle : D
Thanks for including me in your story, it was a lot of fun making the rings and I would have killed to be a bear in the woods ( maybe a fly on th wall ) when Natalia said Yes!!!
Good luck you two! Will.
Love this! We’re doing red and purple too but with pale blush pink as well 🙂
Those flower girls are too cute. That wedding dress is also gorgeous.
Thanks for including me, Ruffled! Natalia was one of the most delightfully relaxed brides I’ve had the pleasure of make-uping this season – and as I’m a big fan of the bold, red lip I was thrilled she wanted one! Jen from Anna Rose has captured their love & joy beautifully.
Awesome photo’s as usual Anna Rose. For those of you interested, check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gc7Ckda4Et8&feature=relmfu
Beautiful… & the cutest little flower girl!! Does anyone know where the flower girls dress is from? X
