Smoke Bomb + Dried Flower Wedding Inspiration in North Carolina
Happy Camper was the name of the game for this woodsy, dried flower wedding inspiration with smoke bombs and modern bohemian cakes galore. Long story short. The Big Fake Wedding Raleigh came to showed UP. And it’s no surprise – this immersive bridal showcase is always wrought with intention, creativity and emotion as it brings together local wedding vendors and engaged couples to immerse both groups in a wedding day (in real time).
Couple to be wed? Check. WOW ceremony backdrop? Check. An officiant, processional and post-I do kiss? Triple check. As attendees played the role of wedding guests, they moved from campground wedding ceremony to cozy, laidback cocktail hour where s’mores themed beverages were enjoyed in a velvet sofa lounge. And after a whole cocktail hour, they were able to see a variety of tablescape vignettes for inspiration! Followed by an actual dance party with actual smooth moves and a DJ to keep the party going.
The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve played host to this adventurous, fun-loving soiree. A 115 acre heritage farm tucked away just outside Raleigh, a meadow + forest filled landscape fulfills every nature lover’s wildest dreams!
It’s obvious that the fashion game was strong with this one. A bohemian lace wedding dress with intricate patterns across a semi-sheer overlay and nude lining? Ella & Oak had us weepy with this style that fit the bride like a glove! And the paper goods from Ruthie Kellar Studio featuring a seasonal wildflower border and pretty watercolor art cards? You don’t have to ask us twice to admire this cotton paper suite again and again (and again for good measure).
Timeless Events coordinated all the events of the day with ease, from the fluffy grass adorned ceremony to the darling first look to the party time reception events that led to the grand exit finale.
DeeJays Event Rentals provided the rustic chic cross back chairs you see here, and they couldn’t be a more stylistic fit with the sweeping meadow venue if they tried!
The texture of this wild, dried flower ceremony backdrop by Mother of Wild Flower House & Event Co. is simply unreal. Cafe au lait roses marry orchids and fluffy stems against the backdrop of dried oversized palm fronds in this jaw-dropping installation, and we’re high key obsessed.
Styled by Sofia gave the bride a luminous glow with a relaxed, wavy hair style that has her looking like a total babe. And the bouquet, floral hoop and bout from Florescence Design are simply breathtaking. So much glory in the wild + unruly aesthetic!
Of course, personalized signage from Handwritings by Hannah was spotted throughout the event, from the welcome sign with an adorable oar illustration to the signature cocktail sign you’ll soon see at the reception.
These cheery shots from Jaclyn Nolin Photography are giving us all the warm fuzzies. Emotion-forward and color-filled, no detail was forgotten!
Blossom and Bone Florals brought their robin’s egg blue truck, filled to the brim with galvanized buckets of the prettiest blooms and boy, did it make for a darling photo app!
Bestow Baked Goods provided the most adorable trio of pine, goldenrod and river hued wedding cakes. Painterly brushstrokes mimicking a mountain scene, gold foil embellishments and minimalist arrow prints are a few confectionary focal points at display here, and you can bet your bottom dollar we’re bookmarking all 3 forever!
Oak + Dahlia Floral Design brought their A-game to this tablescape with ikebana style blooms in petite indigo vessels. Paired with handwritten place cards and a sketched botanical table number, we’d find it difficult to ever leave this feast!
Desiree of EZER Photo has a beautiful, bold photography style that captures details, portraits and all the candids in between and we cannot stop flipping through her gallery!
The moody images from Pinehurst based photographer, By Colette Photo, are making us ooh and ahh nonstop. I mean how drop-dead-gorgeous is this Golden Hour portrait for example!
Thirsty Buffalo Beverage Catering was the perfect fit for this campground inspired wedding event with its smoky dessert forward cocktails and its overall camper aesthetic!
Check out the film from Hello Cheetah Productions below! They captured so many of the sweet moments and laughter filled events throughout the day.. and what’s more – you get to see that adorable pup of honor in motion! Woop woof!
