Millennial Pink Rehearsal Dinner Party in Austin, Texas
Hold on to your wigs because today’s trendy rehearsal dinner party in Austin, Texas is going to blow you off! The Canvas at The Refinery‘s modern industrial look was just the perfect place to hold the couple’s special event before their big day — the mix of soft pink, peach, glittering gold, and marble, the added succulents, geometrics, eucalyptus, and glasses, oh, this rehearsal dinner party couldn’t get any better! Now, together with their closest friends, L + J’s pre-wedding party is giving us a serious case of #FOMO.
Blue Sparrow Events made the Canvas even more beautiful as it already is. And seriously, Breanna McKendrick, these images are lit!
We love the idea of putting together the couple’s favorite things as their rehearsal dinner party’s welcome gift.
Angela Davidson is behind the creative invitation suite and menu cards, Aren’t they perfectly fit for this rehearsal dinner?
Vanna of Blue Sparrow Events spills the tea: Pop the bubbly, because this rehearsal dinner is going to make you want to par-tay. Layne and Jerimiah kicked off their wedding weekend right with a celebration for the books. With a guest list of 230 family and friends eager to celebrate their union, Layne wanted to bring everyone together the night before the wedding for a welcome shindig. How sweet is she?!
Enter: Canvas at The Refinery. They officially opened their doors in January of 2018 in downtown Austin, TX, just four months before L+J’s wedding day. The Refinery is beautiful, clean, sleek and modern with a touch of industrial. The first time I visited, I fell in love with the space; with the white walls, white brick, exposed pipes and touches of marble and copper, I knew Layne would love it too.
We took inspiration from the venue space itself for the overall design and theme. We wanted to keep the decor simplistic, yet trendy and chic. We enhanced the desert decor in the venue by adorning tables with succulents in white sand and loose eucalyptus. Tons of muted grey candles in sleek clear glass vases embellished long rows of the unvarnished wood table. For the invitation suite and menu cards, designer Angela Davidson hit the nail on the head from the initial sketches with her original watercolor artwork.
So many members of Layne and Jer wedding day were coming in from out of town to a city that they knew and loved so well. To welcome their bridal party to the Lone Star State, they put together welcome gifts with all of their favorite things. From the Willie Nelson mural koozie, Texas shaped cookies, infamous Austin distilled vodka and Headquartered Yeti mugs to keep it cool.
We almost flew all the way to Texas for these yummy looking shaped cookies made by Mindy’s Bakeshop.
Everything came together to be the perfect millennial girl’s dream – pink, gold, copper, blush, marble, succulents and all the sweetest details. From the lounge furniture, place settings, name cards, centerpieces, and a room filled with loveliest people, L+J had one amazingly sweet and beautiful rehearsal dinner party.
